CALM AS THE COLOUR: ‘When Traditions No Longer Answer Your Questions’ EP
CALM AS THE COLOUR are a 4-piece indie / shoe-gaze band from the kingdom of Fife. Formed in 2011, they have been garnering a fair bit radio airplay from the likes of Tom Robinson, Steve Lamaq and Jim Gellatly.
They cite their ‘influences’ as being, amongst others, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Teenage Fanclub, Ride and My Bloody Valentine. Personally though, I’d say they’d taken inspiration more from the likes of Oasis and Stone Roses.
But that doesn’t really matter – the main thing is that they play decent mid-tempo rock with nice jangly guitars and hook-laden choruses.
The ”When Traditions No Longer Answer Your Questions’ EP is the third release from CALM AS THE COLOUR and a couple of tracks follow.
Nice one! Thanks colin
