TOM DYER: ‘Smithsonian Institute Blues.’
TOM DYER‘s recent album, ‘I Ain’t Blue Any More,’ spawned two videos that were re-posted on the recent LOUD HORIZON review: ‘The Witch,’ was a bit on the scary side and ‘There Be Killin’ (In My Town)‘ was pretty grim and depressing!
So, maybe just to prove that he ‘Ain’t Blue Any More,’ TOM has showcased a more ‘fun’ side to his music by releasing a video for the best track on the album, ‘Smithsonian Institute Blues.’
This of course is the old Captain Beefheart classic, taken from the ‘Lick My Decals Off, Baby’ album which was one of the first vinyl albums I ever bought! I mentioned in my album review that it takes a brave man to carry off a cover like this, but undoubtedly TOM DYER is more than capable!
Great version!
