Welcome to LOUD HORIZON - an informally written, UK based, music website full of reviews and features, videos and occasional free downloads.

LOUD HORIZON has taken on several forms since its inception in 2006. Now (February 2011) with the assistance of two additional writers (Kenneth John Porteous and Gary Moyes) we are better positioned than ever to review new releases and feature bands and their music / videos.

All types of music are of interest to LOUD HORIZON, but as the name suggests we focus mainly (though not exclusively) on new bands / artists whose music may still be somewhere outwith the gaze of the general public, but is making a delightful racket in an attempt to be heard. Of particular interest are: PUNK; ARTROCK; INDIE; ROCK; METAL; BLUES and REGGAE. (However, FOLK MUSIC does my head in, so if you submit some for review, you’d better just hope it lands with one of the other lads!)

Hello ,  name is Colin and I write for ARTROCKER MAGAZINE in the UK. I’m older than I really should be (there seems to have been some sort of mix-up here, I think!) and am short in the leg department. That’s the ‘length’ rather than ‘numerical’ criteria. I have all my own teeth in so far as the false ones are not borrowed, and run my own Petcare Business meaning that for most of the day I smell of damp dogs and rabbit wee!
