THE FADES: ‘Foot In Your Mouth.’ (Free Download!)
In the same vein as the earlier single (‘Meccano‘) that was taken from the forthcoming debut album, ’Foot In Your Mouth‘ is a ferocious shout back to the untamed punk from early 2000’s from bands like McLusky and Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster.
It’s unpredictable nature and fierce stabs are complemented by pounding rhythms that accelerates you though a two minute spiral of madness. ‘Foot In Your Mouth‘ is a relentless beast with so much pace and energy the track has already found its way onto national radio, and looks to continue to snowball.
The track is available now for free download exclusively from the band’s facebook page and is taken from hotly anticipated debut full length album ‘Ragnarok‘ out on 1st October.
THE FADES: ‘Meccano.’
South London garage band THE FADES are set to release their new single on 1st April, ahead of a new album entitled ‘Ragnarock’ which will be available later in the year.
Obviously inspired by their own youthful pursuits, the song pokes spiky jibes towards Jonny who apparently doesn’t quite ‘get’ the cult of Meccano. (Personally, I’m on his side!) The almost robotic delivery mirrors the image of the metallic construction kit, while the sharp, punky, simplistic and child-like lyrics are redolent of cruel, school playground taunts.
With little hints of Glasgow’s We Are The Physics shining through, THE FADES could be onto something here.
